Fantasia Top Tips
- Fantasia Fans run from standard lighting wire (two core & earth) when operated by pull cord, single wall control or remote control. If you wish to install a double wall control then three core and earth wiring is required.
- All ceiling fans require clearance around the blades in order to allow effective airflow. Always ensure the blade tips are at least 8in/200mm from any obstruction such as a sloping roof or beam.
- When choosing the size of your fan, it is a good idea to try to accomodate the largest blade span possible in the room. Running a larger fan on a lower speed is not only more relaxing but is more efficient too, as the lower speeds achieve higher levels of air movement per watt.
- Drop rods are available in a variety of lengths from 12in (300mm) to 72in (1830mm) so a Fantasia Fan can be fitted to a ceiling of any height. If a fan is flush mount as standard then conversion kit is required to fit a drop rod. Some fans are dual mount - see the technical information on each fan page for more details.
- Fantasia Fan motors are maintenance free. The motors are of silicone steel construction with double sealed bearings and all metal surfaces are powder coated or plated and lacquered to give a permanent seal and prevent tarnishing.
